Ovid may have avoided four-letter expletives in Metamorphoses, but playwright Naomi Iizuka embraces them in Polaroid Stories, a modern take on Ovid's classic myths that are set in the streets of California. Iizuka found inspiration for the play in Ovid's mock-epic which loosely relates a history of the world from its creation to the crowning of Julius Caesar through tales of transformation and love gone awry....

CSU theater students win Kennedy Center theater festival honors
Meghan Gray won Best Lighting Design for her design for the CSU production of “Polaroid Stories” by Naomi Iizuka. She will attend the national conference in April. Gray also received a sound design award at the 2009 KCACTF regional competition.
