Ovid may have avoided four-letter expletives in Metamorphoses, but playwright Naomi Iizuka embraces them in Polaroid Stories, a modern take on Ovid's classic myths that are set in the streets of California. Iizuka found inspiration for the play in Ovid's mock-epic which loosely relates a history of the world from its creation to the crowning of Julius Caesar through tales of transformation and love gone awry....
